Urgency needs a reason
An alert should explain what changed and why the timing matters. A label such as urgent is not enough. Show the threshold, the affected work, and the time available before the impact grows.
One owner and one next action
Broadcast alerts create spectators. Route the item to the person who can act and give them a clear first step. Others can follow the record without receiving the same interruption. If ownership changes, keep that change visible.
Quiet is a product decision
A monitoring system should suppress duplicates, group related signals, and close alerts when the underlying state recovers. Supervisor keeps the full trail while reducing unnecessary interruption. Calm design does not make risk smaller. It makes the real risk easier to see.
